Operation Overboard: Dare to Go Deep with God! Operation Overboard is an invitation and challenge to dive into the waters of God’s Word and discover what it means to have deep faith. It will be an interactive week with an energizing Bible-based program that gives children a chance to go deep in their faith.
Cost: $45 per person/ $90 max per family if you register by May 21st. After May 21st, the registration will be increased to $55 per person/ $110 max per family. This will include curriculum, art projects, snacks, the best volunteers money can buy and much more! Children of Volunteers: FREE.
Ages: 3 year olds (potty trained) – completed 4th grade. Completed 5th graders and youth are encouraged to be helpers with the younger groups (Helpers: FREE).
Schedule:
Children will start their adventure each morning in Ocho's Cave (home of a lovable octopus named Ocho and our morning assembly & gathering time) where the dive chef will prepare the children for their daily activities. The young divers will then venture with their group (1-2 adults and 1 youth helper for groups of 10-14 children) to 6 different centers every 20 minutes, which will include: The Underwater Passage (Bible lesson center), Aquatic Arts (craft center), Choral Reef (music center), High Tide Hangout (games center), Exploration Station (science center), and Diver's Diner (snack center). We will end each day in the sanctuary as one large group to debrief and make a joyful noise one last time before we depart for the day.
Registration Information:
In order to participate, a registration form must be filled out online for each child and a registration fee should be brought into the church office or mailed to FUMC of Jupiter c/o VBS, 815 E. Indiantown Rd. Jupiter, FL 33477. Please make checks payable to First United Methodist Church of Jupiter.
